Oh, good. Because I clearly need another object to obsess about. I can't help it, though — I stopped by Ma Zone Home Decor on my lunch break the other day, spotted this amazing cuckoo clock on the wall and have been dreaming of it ever since. Isn't it fabulous? The little stag head, the pine cone weights, and of course the adorable cuckoo bird that pops out every hour to greet you... My apartment suddenly feels sad and incomplete without it. The clock runs on batteries and you can even turn the sound off, in case the thought of a 3 am chirping-and-tweeting session makes you want to smash something.
The Village Cuckoo Clock is made by a Canadian company called Torre & Tagus and it's carried in the U.S. at ID Inside Design in Minneapolis. I'm seriously tempted to order one this week. An early Christmas present to myself, perhaps?
